Tells the story of Portia, Cato ‘s daughter and wife to Brutus. The action takes place on the Ides of March 44 BC. the day Julius Caesar was murdered by Brutus and others. Her old nurse and other household members attempt to comfort her and get her to react like a deserted woman as Brutus has fled. But her strong upbringing by her father has made her outwardly mentally strong. Despite the encouragement of her household to bear the shame she indicates she prefers the alternative. ONE ACT PLAY
